Description
![]() |
Tidestromia oblongifolia from Death Valley is adapted to high temperatures and has optimal photosynthetic rate at 47C, which is comparable to crop plants in their most favorable conditions. Since its discovery over 50 years ago, the molecular basis of this remarkable thermo-adaptation of photosynthesis remains a mystery. The goal of this study is to decipher the mechanisms underlying this thermoadaptation by combining genomics, metabolomics, ecophysiology, and biochemistry. |
