The goal of this study is to enhance pennycress (Thlaspi arvense) crop improvement efforts and community resources by sequencing mutant lines and wild accessions. perform whole-genome re-sequencing of pennycress germplasm collected from the United States and globally to identify natural gene variants that correlate with a range of climate variables. The sequencing of mutant populations will allow for the expansion of pennycress mutant gene index to explore and validate agronomically-relevant gene variants; these resources will be readily made available to the scientific community. |
