Description The goal of this study is to compare genetic diversity of microbes harbored by guiera shrub rhizosphere and by rhizospheres of millet plants within the influence of shrubs and outside the influence of shrubs and to use metagenomics to determine diversity and abundance of microorganisms that have properties known to reduce plant water stress in the rhizosphere soils of millet plants in the presence and absence of shrubs.
