STUDY DESCRIPTION
PI Jane Khudyakov
Description Ethanol and water extracted rice straw was inoculated with finished compost. (The inocula experienced a period of high temperature to kill pathogens during the composting process.) The community was incubated for one week and was then used to inoculate fresh rice straw. This continued for four passes. The metagenome/metatranscriptome samples are from the final community, collected after four weeks of incubation.
