Description
![]() |
Schlegelella thermodepolymerans is a thermophilic bacterium with potential application in industrial biotechnology as polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) producer. It was originally isolated due to its unique capability of degradation of various PHA copolymers by activity of its extracellular PHA depolymerases. Nevertheless, its PHA biosynthetic ability has not been investigated so far. Here we present complete genome of the strain Schlegelella thermodepolymerans DSM 15344 that was purchased from Leibnitz Institute DSMZ-German Collection of Microorganisms and Cell Cultures, Braunschweig, Germany. |
