Description The goals of this study are 1) to characterize fungal enzymes involved in the degradation of organic nitrogen (casein and urea) and the mechanism(s)by which bacteria enhance fungal proteolytic activityin a cooperative or antagonistic manner; 2) to investigate the nature of the chemical arcenal involved in instances of antagonistic interactions under rich and extremely oligotrophic nutrient conditions.
