Project Description
![]() |
Strains 1 aa??a?? 4 belong in the Roseobacter clade with closest cultivated relatives of the uncultured marine SAR83 lineage. Strains 5 and 6 are aerobic anoxygenic phototrophs belonging into other lineages of the Alphaproteobacteria.
These strains: - ability to produce longchain acylated homoserine lacton quorum sensing signaling molecules (strains 1,2,3,4 and 5) - ability to produce various interesting secondary metabolites or volatile compounds (strains 3 amd 4) - association with dinoflagellate cells (strains 1,2, 5 and 6). The source of strains 1,2,5 and 6 are single cells of the toxic dinoflagellates Alexandrium ostenfeldii and Prorocentrum lima, respectively. |
