Analysis Project Description Metagenomic compendium of 189,680 DNA viruses from the human gut microbiome. Assembled human gut metagenomes were obtained from MGnify and previously published studies. Assemblies were performed by original studies using a combination of MEGAHIT and MetaSPAdes. Viral contigs were identified using a custom pipeline we developed featuring the Earth's Virome VPFs, Pfams, VirFinder, and gene strand switch rate. After applying CheckV, 189,680 viral genomes with >50% completeness were identified and form the Metagenomic Gut Virus (MGV) catalogue. This combined assembly was generated from 11810 metagenome sequencing projects. Due to limitation on displaying a large number of projects here, only 50 projects/Biosamples are listed now on this analysis project. A link to the complete list will be available soon.
