The goal of the study is to establish and compare de novo transcriptomes for 2 taxonomically related pairs of freshwater and marine diatoms (Chaetoceros elmorei (Freshwater)/Chaetoceros gracilis (Marine) and Acanthoceras zachariasii (Freshwater)/Hemiaulus sinensus (Marine)) to reveal differences between diatoms derived from marine vs. freshwater environments. |
