Paenibacillus sp. DA-C8, a thermophilic facultative anaerobic bacterium, possesses an efficient xylan degradation system. This bacterium may be novel species and unique xylan degradation enzymatic system. To understand the xylan degradation system of Paenibacillus, the genome analysis was carried out. |
