Description Thermobrachium celere is a ubiquitous, anaerobic, thermophile obligate anaerobe which can grow at pH between 5 to 9.7. This organism can be isolated from geothermally and anthropogenically heated environments and mesobiotic environments. Thermobrachium celere DSM 8682 was isolated from hot spring sediment and water in New Zealand. This organism has great potential for biotechnology applications.
