Macrophomina phaseolina is a global devastating fungal pathogen that infects more than 500 plant hosts. The main goal of sequencing MS6 which is one of the most virulence strain that badly infects jute plants, was to identify the genes involved in pathogenesis and plant-host interactions. This strain was isolated from infected jute field of Bangladesh Jute Research Institute during late 2010
