A denitrifying and nitrous oxide-reducing betaproteobacterium, Azoarcus sp. KH32C was originally isolated from an agricultural field soil in Kumamoto, Japan, where paddy rice and soybean were rotationally cultivated. The strain KH32C can strongly reduce exogenous nitrous oxide. We analyzed the whole genome sequence of strain KH32C to obtain denitrification functional gene information and to identify other genomic features
