Project Description
![]() |
This strain was isolated from activated sludge, Aalborg West WTTP by enrichment culture with triclosan as a sole source of carbon and energy. The strain was able to grow in LB-rich media supplemented with up to 1mgL-1 triclosan. The proteomic analysis of strain TRO1 will be carried out by in vivo metabolic labeling (15N and 13C substrates) followed by multi TOF-MS (Protein-SIP). We believe that combining genomic and proteomic studies will allow for more detailed knowledge of the metabolic pathways which allow P. putida TRO1 strain to be able to resist the antibacterial agent triclosan.
