Project Description
Clostridium pasteurianum sp. BC1 was isolated from coal-cleaning residues. It is a potential candidate for ameliorating radionuclide contamination at DOE sites as it has biochemical pathways that can convert water soluble uranyl (VI) ion, to a less soluble form of this element, U(IV).
